Speaking of colored front doors, there is a super cute new business in Kansas City called Pink Front Door. They sell gently used furniture that they have refinished and hand painted.

Bye Bye Paul

Last night was a sad night for American Idol viewers. In my opinion what should have been the winner was kicked off, Paul McDonald the cute country boy from Alabama.  I am going to miss his contagious smile and his fabulous embroidered suits

of this song by Freelance Whales! They are an indie rock back from Queens, New York. The song is called "First Floor Generator." I heard this song the other day while watching TV, it's on the new Starbucks commerical. The second I heard it, I immediately got out my phone and shazamed it...and now I pretty much listen to it daily!

I have been on the search for colored skinny jeans....with no luck! Found a bunch online, in a plethora of colors, not sure if any will work, but they are fun to look at (and wish for legs like the models wearing them).

Birthday Alarm

We all forget birthdays! It makes ya feel like a pretty crappy friend/relative/spouse when ya do, doesn't it? You can write them on calendars and in planners, there is even a section on facebook, but you will still forget some.  Well I recently received an email from my cousin, asking me to submit my birthday to a Web site. I thought it was weird, but looked into the site. It's called  BIRTHDAYALARM.COM .  Simply sign up, import your contact list from your email domain. Birthday Alarm will send an email to your chosen contacts asking for their birthdays (your friends and family will think its spam, so put a personal note letting them know that it is not). Then you get a reminder email a day or two before each person's birthday. What a great idea! Now if we could only have reminders like that about everything...
