Edible Valentines

Treats are the main reason that I love Valentine's Day! Yeah everyone likes candy, but homemade treats are the best! Here are some ideas for edible Valentine's Day gifts. You could give them to your neighbors, family, or friends. A little something to show you took the time to make something special!

I will be waiting for my special Valentine's treat!

DVF in your room

The one and only Diane von Furstenberg has brought her DVF studio line to a Bed, Bath and Beyond near you.  Complete with ten bedding products and fourteen bath, you can now bring the glam home (for a reasonable price).  Look at how a stylish DVF duvet can totally transform a room.

Check out the rest of the collection on  Bed Bath and Beyonds website.  The charming bathroom collection is also very sophisticated.  I am a huge fan.

Bringing Neon Home

Neon is everywhere you look in fashion, and I love the idea of bringing it into the home. Just one piece, big or small, that adds a pop of bright color, can totally change a room!

Six More Weeks of Winter

Punxsutawney Phil saw his shadow this morning, therefore we will be having six more weeks of winter.  If our "winter" includes 63 degree days like today I am fine with his prediction.

Happy Groundhog's day

This lil' tradition is a fun way to break the long winter up, whether or not it's a proven fact it is still something to look forward to.  I found some cute Groundhog day goodies on etsy that can really get you in the spirit.

To Gobbler's Knob. Its Groundhog Day!

Olive Cheese Bread

I found this olive cheese bread from Pioneer Woman, and knew I had to make it!! I love olives, cheese and bread so much, i knew it had to be good!

*Recommendation- I love olives, green and black, but it made the bread a little salty for my liking, so I would recommend using half of the black and green olives it calls for.

Ingredients
1 loaf of French/Italian bread
6 oz. of green olives with Pimientos (use half if you don't want it as salty)
6 oz. of black olives (again use half, if you prefer)
2 green onions
1 stick of butter, room temperature
1/2 c mayonnaise
1 1/2 c grated Monterey Jack Cheese

Preheat oven to 325 degrees.

Roughly the black and green olives, and thinly slice the 2 green onions.

Combine the room temperature butter, mayo, cheese, olives and onions in a mixing bowl. Stir together until combined.

Slice your bread lengthwise, and put on a baking sheet.

Spread mixture on top of sliced bread. Use all of the mixture, it will look like a lot but will melt into the bread.

Bake on 325 degrees for about 25-30 minutes, until the cheese is melted and starting to brown.

Slice up into pieces, and enjoy!
