Society6 PILLOWS

Society6 is my go-to site for great art prints and unique iPhone cases. If you aren't familiar, Society6 is a site where artists sell their artwork in the form of not only prints and stretched canvases, but also iPhone/iPad cases and skins, stationery, clothing, bags....and now pillows!! The site rocks, and if you have never been I highly recommend you check it out! The stuff is very reasonably price and the products they make are high quality too, which is huge (I've had my Society6 iPhone case for over a year...and I drop my phone a lot). Here are some of my favorite pillows I came across while browsing, and at just $20 for a 16"x16" pillow, looks like I could be lounging on some giraffes, elephants, books and lots of flowers!

A Blueprint for Success, in Television

I think this artist has got himself a GREAT idea! What a fun way to appeal to all of the TV junkies out there.  I was always a huge Friends fan and I can't help myself but to tune into a marathon or two when they are on.  This Spanish artist has been working as a professional interior designer for the past two decades and I really like the direction he has taken his creative mind.  I would do anything for a blue print of the Friends apartment oh and I don't think I would turn down Carrie's apartment either.  Check them out!

Friends - how nice would it to have a Grandmother who gives you her NYC apt. Monica was one lucky girl and I think her friends were even luckier? A clean roommate...haha.

Sex and the City - shouldn't her closet be three times that big?

How I Met Your Mother - I can't help but think about the episode when Marshall and Lily are hiding in that tiny bathroom and they are trying to keep some mystery in their relationship, and it's all lost when he has to "go to the bathroom" with her in the room.  What a great show, and an even better apartment. 

Gilmore Girls - going to high school in this charming town like Stars Hollow was always my dream. 

Halfway through this post I realized that his etsy shop is closed down, he has a message saying that he is overwhelmed with interest in his prints and he is playing catch up and will not be accepting anymore requests.  However, I still believe this is just too cute and creative not to share, so drool over these images, but it might be a while till you get to hold one or even better frame one!

Happy New Year! I hope everyone enjoyed the Holidays filled with food, fun, and laughter! As we enter the new year, and people set goals and resolutions, trying to focus on being a better person in 2013, I thought I would theme today's Words for Wednesday with these resolutions. Words for Wednesday: Christmas Printables

If you haven't started decorating for Christmas, then you're late! Just kidding, it's not even December yet, but after Thanksgiving we were more than ready. So we turned on Love Actually, lugged up the Rubbermaids full of greenery, ornaments, candles, nutcrackers, lights, the whole shebang! The house looks so festive and cozy! We have a wooden frame sitting in between our couches that we put different holiday/seasonal posters and prints in. I was searching for the perfect Christmas print to replace our fall leaves, and I thought I would share some of the cute printables I came across...

"Things I've Said to My Children"

Nathan Ripperger's illustration series of things he has actually said to his kids are both adorable and hilarious! On his flikr account, Ripperger says "The is a collection of posters featuring phrases that have left my mouth only because of my children." Here are a few of my favorites:

Music Double Take- Lollapalooza

Ben Sklar, a photographer for The New York Times shot some amazing multiple exposure pictures at Lollapalooza this summer. These shots are so neat, and I love how they include both fans and musicians, as well as depicting the atmosphere of the festival. Here are a few of my favorites:

Taking it to the Streets

The Olympics are in full swing, and taking over our evenings (and maybe your days, if you are streaming at work). Meanwhile, street artists are taking over the streets of London, showcasing their talent (and opinions) in the form of graffiti.

Authorities are cracking down on street art, and have even made several arrests. This hasn't stopped some street artists, like Criminal Chalkist, Mau Mau and Banksy from expressing their opinions. The locations of Banksy's two pieces (seen below) have been kept a secret for the fear of being painted over.

Worldly Walls

I absolutely love maps as art and interior decoration. It can be used to remember a trip you've been on, a place you lived, or just a reminder of how big our world is. I think that maps make great conversation pieces too. I've seen some really amazing uses of maps on a large scale. Covering walls, creating headboards, and large framed pieces in every different room of the house. Here are some of my favorites:
