Crazy Cool Celebs at Coachella

This past weekend was the Indie music festival Coachella, in Indio Valley, California.  It is the main music fest on the west coast and every year there are a ton of young and fresh celebs.  This year was no different.

Camilla Belle is boho chic in a tan vest and eyelet top

Whitney Port in blooming floral shorts

Nicole Richie showing off her stems in cutoffs and a great Mulberry top

Kate Bosworth so patriotic in Topshop

and last but not least Rihanna (my personal fave) representing in camo

Coachella is definitely on my bucket list and I am hoping one day to jam in the desert with all the beautiful people.

Shop Local

Speaking of colored front doors, there is a super cute new business in Kansas City called Pink Front Door. They sell gently used furniture that they have refinished and hand painted.

These are a few of my favorite pieces that I found on their facebook page. What a great way to turn your hobby into a business, and a local business at that. We love shopping local!

Bye Bye Paul

Last night was a sad night for American Idol viewers. In my opinion what should have been the winner was kicked off, Paul McDonald the cute country boy from Alabama.  I am going to miss his contagious smile and his fabulous embroidered suits

Watch him sing Maggie May you won't regret it

Can't Get Enough

of this song by Freelance Whales! They are an indie rock back from Queens, New York. The song is called "First Floor Generator." I heard this song the other day while watching TV, it's on the new Starbucks commerical. The second I heard it, I immediately got out my phone and shazamed it...and now I pretty much listen to it daily!

Colorful Entrances

While walking around our neighborhood the other day, I noticed some eye-catching front doors painted in bold, fun colors. Love this idea. It really adds character to a house. Here are some other fun, colorful front doors I found....

April Showers

It's a lovely rainy morning here in Kansas City. I am trying to be postive by telling myself that this rain will make our newly planted flowers grow and the grass greener.
